Wilson Distributor Services (WDS) focuses on providing high quality cleaning and detailing supplies along with other items to individuals, businesses, car dealerships, and other auto-related businesses. The cleaning and detailing supplies offered include top name brands such as Car Brite and Finishline. Their product line also expands to addition items such as key tags, banners, flags, pennants and windshield numbers. In addition to all of the great items offered, office needs and supplies are also available, including checks, stationary, envelopes, brochures, and promotional items.

The entrepreneurial spirit runs deep with Jason Goody, President and Owner. He started cleaning cars as a part-time business while a sophomore at Mount Pleasant High School. Jason’s Car Cleaning became a full-time occupation upon his graduation in 1988.


Jason bought his cleaning products from Bob Wilson, who established Wilson Distributor Service in Mount Pleasant in 1975.

“Wilson came to me and said ‘I’m retiring and you're taking over,’ ” Jason said of the approach in 1993. “I knew about the chemicals but I didn’t know about the business.”

So after two years at Southeastern Community College and one year at Iowa Wesleyan College, Jason took over Wilson Distributor Service in 1993. The business sold cleaning products to car dealerships, car washes, detail shops and body shops. Car wash, polishes, waxes, glass cleaners, carpet dyes, buffers, carpet cleaners and brushes were the primary products sold to customers across Iowa, eastern Nebraska and west-central Illinois.

Jason married Lisa in 1994. Originally, Jason was going to be the only one managing the business, but things quickly and graciously grew. So in 1997, Lisa was pulled in to help organize and manage the business. Side by side and as a team, Jason and Lisa have successfully grown the business nearly 10 times since taking it over, and have focused on servicing customers with a great product and providing excellent personal follow-up.
